Romanesque 1

Part 1 of the Romanesque series with pictures from Armenia

Romanesque 1 is a compilation of images from my trip to Romanesque monasteries in Armenia and Georgia, which fit the sculpture "Assisi" by Qi Yang in terms of content and appearance.

In September and October 2021, there were 2 "FRANZ" events at the Reuschenberger Mühle, for which I had projected this Liquid Image onto Qi's sculpture as a mini-architectural mapping. The important thing here was to bring the material of the sculpture, cellulose, into a dialogue with the surfaces of the monasteries. You can see whether this worked here: »FRANZ«

But Romanesque 1 is only the start of the series that I will still realise together with trio27, perhaps also with an exhibition in Gyumri, Armenia.
